Welcome New Members
Lucio Many of you have already been introduced to Lucio through his singing. Make sure you introduce yourself to him. He comes to San Jose by way of Morgan Hill. He works for Santa Clara County. He is interested in music, singing and technology. He will continue to share his musical gifts with the congregation.
Jose Jose is also a singer, and will share his gifts of music with CGS. He moved here from the Philippines in 1995 and currently lives in San Jose. He works for Kaiser Permanente. He enjoys singing, hiking, swimming, running and spending time with friends and family.
Dwayne Dwayne has lived here in San Jose since 1980, when he moved from Livermore. Dwayne’s family includes his partner, Ray Tovar. He enjoys hiking, photography, and gardening. Gifts he will share include volunteering and helping with activities. And I can tell from his form he has a sense of humor, so I look forward to getting to know him.
Jean Jean, and her partner Julia, have jumped right in to the life of the congregation, serving on Altar Guild and helping out in other ways. Jean has worked for the San Jose Public Library for 10 years. Her hobbies include reading, cooking and gardening.
Julia Julia is a native Californian, having been born and raised right here in San Jose. This year will mark the 30th year that Julia has worked at the San Jose Public Library. She has a MFA degree from Bennington, and loves creative writing, native gardening and cooking. She lives in San Jose with her partner Jean.
Suzanne Suzanne comes to us from Northern Virginia and has been her since last summer. She has worked for the Department of Defense for 23 years. Her son, Michael, his wife Sally and their children Amber and Dylan live nearby. Her hobbies include sewing, gardening, volunteering and painting. Gifts she intends to share with CGS include prayer, singing, and she has already begun a WELCA group here.
Margaret Margaret has been involved with the kids of CGS since she got here, and we love having her. She moved here to San Jose in 1990 from Winters, CA. Her family includes her husband, Jim and her daughter, Sarah (who was just baptized here recently). She works for Integrated Device Technology. Her hobbies include “event throwing,” floats, scrapbooking and word search puzzles. She intends to share her gifts of hospitality and teaching with us.
Scott Scott has been here in San Jose since 2010, after living in New York City. Scott is married to Lisa and has two daughters, Harper and Violet. Since he is new to the area, make sure you introduce yourself and offer to tell him all about your favorite things here in San Jose.
Vanetia and Angel Since Vanetia and Angel came to us, they have been involved with the kids and the Sunday School. Vanetia has lived here in San Jose since 1984 and lived in Salinas prior to that. Vanetia works for San Jose State University and has been there for 22+ years. The Sunday school people know Vanetia and Angel, make sure you do too.
