Our Vision

CGS serves the world with gratitude, reflecting the unconditional love of God. 

What does this mean? 

To proclaim means: 

• We are called to be disciples of Jesus Christ 
• God's love for eveyrone is unconditional
• We are saved by grace alone (not by our own works) 
• We celebrate communion with all people because we are reconciled in Christ
• God's word is relevant for our world

To welcome means: 

• We invite all who seek a relationship with God through a faith community
• We stand with those who have been unwelcomed
• We embrace diversity and value persons of all origins and backgrounds
• We are an open minded community growing in respectful dialogue
• We are attentive to the needs of others

To serve means: 

• We are committed to creating justice by following the example of Jesus Christ
• We serve "the least of these" 
• We empower members of our church to be active disciples of Jesus Christ
• We create safe spaces
• We encourage each other in life-long spiritual growth
